I was glad to be at the fourth Reading Festival of Crime Writing in November, tasked with introducing writers including Michael Dobbs, Mark Billingham and Stuart Macbride. The Reading event has shaped up as one of the best UK crime festivals.
Sorry I had to cancel my flying visit to the Henley Literary Festival in September – in the end Sophie Hannah and Deborah Crombie did the business perfectly without me, which says a lot.
But I made it to the September writers’ groups at Bracknell and Reading Library, where we discussed a range of things including point of view in scenes and the storyboard approach to planning a book. If you’re interested in this or other aspects of writing, just contact me. patrickpost@hotmail.co.uk
